We found our Sara!!!

Hello everyone!
Wt are at an internet cafe right now. It is a beautiful spring day today. We are so thrilled about finding our Sara. For now we call her Nastya for short. She is a darling little girl and very healthy. We spoke to the director briefly(very pleasant lady). The day we met her (Mar.31st) the director brought her in and Philip & I had tears in our eyes. She was very shy and started to cry alittle. We have seen her 3 times already. We visit her twice a day. Two hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon. The care givers have been helping her to feel comfortable with us. We are being very patient with her. After our first visit was over, we both got our first kiss right on the lips! This morning one of the caregivers told me she was waiting for us and she also said she would be going far far away with her mamma & papa. Today before we left our morning visit we each got kisses and big bear hugs goodbye and she said that she wanted us to come back. I think things are going pretty good for the second day. She cried a couple of times but thats o.k we know this is difficult for her. She is a very smart cookie as a few times she would pretend to have to go pee-pee or poop when she was feeling overwhelmed. She has lovely light brown hair with a bit of a curl and dark-brown eyes. She also has a very contagious laugh. She actually reminds us of our youngest son Rafael. She will definitely get along well with Anthony Marina and Rafael. She loves hair accessories and barbies. She also loves drawing and colouring. I guess that is it for today. I'll tell you the name of the orphanage on my next post. I can't remember what it is. I can't post any pictures yet, until after court. We miss you all very very much. Philip & I would like to personally thank all of you who posted messages. We read them with tears in our eyes. It means so much to us. Until next time.............Hugs & Kisses to all !!!!!!!!!

    Congratulations to both of you!
I have been following your adoption story on the FRUA website and I am so happy for you. To see that families go to Ukraine and find their child has given me new hope for my little boy that is out there somewhere in Ukraine. Having gone through with 2 adoptions already, I know exactly how extatic you must be and enjoy every moment of your time with your precious darling daughter. It is so magical.
I am truly, truly happy for your family.

    Congratulations again,

Hi Zia Gina, I just wrote to you and forgot to mention that I have Rafael this weekend at my house. We came an hour ago, we went to "Chuckie Cheese", Rafael and Daniel had so much fun. I also noticed that Rafael was very protective of Daniel so you have no worries for Sara Rafeal will be a great big brother. I thought you would like to hear that. He's right here beside me and is saying hello, and with BIG kiss. He said that he wants to see a picture and I explained to him that he needs to wait a few more days. Gina, Anthony, Marina, and Cynthia all going out tonight to 'Dave n' Busters', so they'er okay & no worries.

    Bye again, Tonia

    Hi Guys!!

Hope you're doing great! You must be getting a little homesick by now! Just to let you know...we had a fantastic weekend with the kids!!! They were wonderful to be with. Let me tell you - they were extremely polite and well-mannered (yes - even Rafael!!!!!) After picking them up on Friday afternoon, we had a lazy evening of a late dinner and a movie (King Kong). Then Anthony went to stay with Gina - he's so grown up now, Marina slept with Cynthia, and Rafael had a hard time winding down, so I said he could sleep in my bed and watch TV. What a mistake--he hogged the bed! We got up early Saturday morning and had a beautiful breakfast together. Then Cynthia and Marina went to the arena for figure skating, Rafael went over to Tonia's to play with Daniel and Anthony went to the gym to workout with Gina. Tonia took Daniel and Rafael to Chuck-E-Cheese. Rafael said he had a great time. Saturday evening, the kids, along with David, his friend Curtis, Gina and Dragos went to Dave and Buster's. They had an awesome time. Sunday morning, we all went to church and lunch out. The weather was great on Sunday. After Cynthia and Marina completing their homework went outside to shoot some hoops. Anthony came up from Gina's and joined them. Then in the afternoon, we painted Cynthia's bedroom. She redecorating her room to reflect a more mature teenager now!! When it came time to bring them home, we first went up to Barrie, and bought Cynthia a desk for her bedroom at Leon's, then we were off to Everett. I delivered them safe and sound to Giovanna's for dinner. I'll say it again, we had a wonderful weekend with your children. They are doing great, and excitedly waiting for your return with Sara! Keep us posted. We miss you and look forward to your safe return.
